On Sunday 27th April between 10am – 1pm we will be running the Big Tooting Common bio blitz across the whole of Tooting Common as part of City Nature Challenge 2025
The event will be based from the Woodfield pavilion but we are hoping to identify trees, plants, birds, fungus, amphibians, mammals etc from across all the Tooting commons from Graveney woods to the Balham Triangle.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to connect children and adults from across the community with our local nature on our very own Tooting Common. We hope to create a baseline of local nature so that we can increase biodiversity for future generations.
We have already started to plan the event but need interested local residents who can help with running the event and any local naturalists who are available to share their passion and expertise on the day! - see the email link above!
We will be using the iNaturalist app so if you have not seen the app before you may want to download it and start using it in preparation
